Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of WOIII.me: its Chrome side panel extension, its plugin and connector for ChatGPT and Claude, and the server and API behind them. They also cover DIG for Discogs, the earlier version.

Accepting these terms

By installing, connecting to or using WOIII.me, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use it, and revoke or remove any existing connection. You must be legally able to accept these terms and meet the age requirements of Discogs, your AI provider and the other services you use with WOIII.me.

What WOIII.me provides

WOIII.me is a free, read-only guide to vinyl pressings on Discogs. It scores and compares an album's pressings for sound or for collectors, explains the evidence behind each score, and can summarise your own collection and rank your wantlist. It never changes anything on your Discogs account, and it shows no marketplace prices, listings or cover images. Features may change, be limited or become unavailable.

Beta service

WOIII.me is in beta. Its server address may change, the service may be slow or unavailable at busy times (all users share one Discogs rate limit), and features may be added, changed or removed without notice.

Your accounts and authorisation

You are responsible for the accounts and clients you connect, for keeping your credentials secure, and for activity authorised through your connection. Do not share tokens or connect an account you do not control. You can revoke WOIII.me on Discogs and remove it from your browser or AI client at any time.

Acceptable use

You may not use WOIII.me to:

  • access private or restricted data without authorisation;
  • bypass rate limits, access controls or technical safeguards, including by automating requests;
  • scrape, bulk-export, resell or build a database from returned data;
  • send malware, probe other users, interfere with the service or expose credentials;
  • break applicable law or the terms and policies of Discogs, Google, OpenAI, Anthropic or another connected service.

Discogs data

Data shown by WOIII.me is provided by Discogs and is attributed with a "Data provided by Discogs" link to its source page. It is never more than six hours old when shown. Discogs data can be incomplete, user-contributed, delayed or wrong, and Discogs' own terms apply to it.

Scores are estimates, not advice

Scores, verdicts and rankings are estimates built from Discogs data and published pressing knowledge. They do not measure sound, condition, authenticity or value. WOIII.me does not buy or sell records, contact sellers or handle payments. Nothing it shows is financial, appraisal, legal or other professional advice. Check important information before you act on it.

AI assistants

In ChatGPT or Claude, your AI provider writes the replies you see and decides when to call WOIII.me. We are responsible for the data our tools return, not for the text your assistant writes around it. Your provider's terms apply to your use of its assistant.

Third-party services

WOIII.me depends on Discogs, Cloudflare, Fly.io, Google, your AI provider and other software and network services. Their terms and privacy practices apply separately. Links and references do not imply endorsement.

Licence

WOIII.me, its Chrome extension and its plugins and connector for ChatGPT and Claude are proprietary software. We license them to you for personal, non-commercial use under these terms, for as long as you comply with them. You may not copy, redistribute, modify, decompile or reverse-engineer them, or offer them as part of another service.

DIG for Discogs, the earlier version, remains available in its public repository under the MIT licence stated there. That licence covers only that code: it does not replace these terms for the hosted service and grants no rights in third-party data, names or trademarks.

Availability and changes

WOIII.me is provided free of charge on an "as available" basis. We may update, suspend, restrict or discontinue features to protect users, comply with third-party requirements, maintain security or run the service. We may update these terms by publishing a revised version with a new date; continuing to use WOIII.me after that means you accept the revised terms.

Disclaimers and liability

To the extent the law allows, WOIII.me is provided without warranties of availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement, and WOIII.me is not responsible for decisions, purchases, losses or third-party actions based on its output. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Suspension and termination

We may restrict or end access when reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, third-party requirements or a material breach of these terms. You may stop at any time by revokingWOIII.me on Discogs, uninstalling the extension and removing the plugin or connector.

Discogs relationship

WOIII.me (formerly DIG for Discogs) is an independent project. This application uses Discogs' API but is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Discogs. "Discogs" is a trademark of Zink Media, LLC.
